I hadda buy a car, and it was half that price - with all the software, I coulda bought a second home.
ReplyDeleteI should have dug out my husband's TRS-80 and posted a picture along with this ad. I don't think they paid THAT much for the computer when it was originally bought, though if I recall we spent a couple thousand on our Commodore 64 just a couple years later, so maybe I'm wrong on that.
ReplyDeleteMy husband said that lightning struck his house when he was a kid, and the TV switch box was set to TV. If he'd had it set to COMPUTER, the TRS-80 would have been fried instead, and he could've gotten a new computer.
